WHAT IS A "ZEROHOUZ"?
A "ZEROHOUZ" is an all-electric zero emissions house. This house only uses clean renewable energy to operate and does not use any fossil fuels. It has cleaner indoor air and offers optimum comfort year-round.
WHY ALL-ELECTRIC?
Consider this: at what point did it become acceptable to have poisonous gas inside our homes?
Houses running on natural gas (gas stove, gas water heater, gas furnace, etc) are simply toxic for our health. Natural gas appliances and equipment release toxic emissions (carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, etc) inside homes every.single.day. Homes with gas stoves can contain up to 400 percent higher concentrations of nitrogen dioxide than homes with electric stoves. For this reason, gas appliances have been linked to higher rates of cancer, asthma and leukimia.
HOW WILL THIS HOUSE BE ZERO EMISSIONS?
This house will be retrofitted to run on electricity, and because electricity doesn’t release any poisonous gases or chemicals inside the home, it will be a “zero-emissions” house. This means the house will have much healthier indoor air quality than if it was running on gas. Not only that, but by using electricity as the only source of power, the house can easily use solar panels to generate all the power it needs to function.
